HISTORY OF THE VILLA

Villa Scalabrini was built on a spacious 8-acre plot and opened on April 22, 1979, with facilities for 140 ambulatory residents. The Special Care Unit opened on January 16, 1989 to provide skilled nursing care for the elderly who need special attention. In 1991, the former priests' residence within the Retirement Center was transformed into our 16-bed Personal Care Unit.

Today, we look forward to building a twenty-three unit Independent Living for Seniors. It is our hope to see progress on this important project during the coming year.
